Share your memories

With the impending demolition and removal of the old St. John Education building, this may be a good time to share the memories and blessings. How did God touch your life through St. John Lutheran School, Noah's Ark Preschool, or St. John Sunday School throughout the years? Tell us either by posting comments on this post (click where it says "comments"), or on our facebook wall.

I have so many fond memories of attending Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Noah's Ark Preschool. I can even recall the sights, sounds and smells in this space. I remember being so excited as I leaped up the stairs with my "Jem" backpack on as I went to preschool and reaching up to large handle of the big door. I can remember the multicolor stripped carpeting in the preschool room. I can remember eating saltines with jelly on them during snack time. I can remember sitting on the comfy couches in the musty basement. I can recall singing joyfully in the morning during Sunday School and reciting my memory work in the hall. Most of all, I can remember the spiritual awareness that I built through the love of Christ shared through the teachings so many teachers. I can think of so many names to list, but I don’t want to leave anyone out by mistake. It was a great space in which to grow, learn and have fun! It makes me a little sad knowing that it will no longer be there, but it is a good reminder to all of us that God’s love is everywhere and cannot be bound by brick walls, but is found in all of us.
