Outgoing/Incoming Officers

Philippians 1:3-8 (New International Version, ©2010)
Thanksgiving and Prayer
3 I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
7 It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. 8 God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

St. John would like to thank the those who served last year by giving so much of their time and talents, including Elder Kevin Clausen, Trustee Melvin Neddermeyer, Board of Education member James Jepsen, Board of Finance member Ed Nemitz and Cemetery Committee member Kevin Pester.

Acts 6:1-4 (New International Version, ©2010)
The Choosing of the Seven
1 In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. 2 So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. 3Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them 4 and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”

Please pray that God would guide and support our new officers as they care for the temporal and material needs of the congregation so that Pastor can attend to the Spiritual and Theological responsibilities of his office.
