Help your Children get to know Jesus

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Children PK-8th Grade are invited to Sunday School at St.John. Music and prayer time begin at 8:45am in the sanctuary followed by lessons in classrooms until 9:45 before worship at 10:00am.

Help your kids get the most our of Sunday worship. Take advantage of the variety of resources at our church. Pick up a children's activity bag in the back near the elevator. They're full of coloring books and Christian themed games and puzzles. Page through a 'Children's First Bible' picture book with them or let them enjoy one of our many, 'Arch' books in each pew. These colorful, exciting children's books capture imaginations with original artwork and creative rhymes.
Arch® Books give the gift of God’s Word to children in your life! Since 1965, generations of families and educators have used this favorite series to teach important truths of the Bible.Through the years, more than 60 million Arch Books have shown children the joy of God’s love and salvation in Jesus.

Playground Progress

Lots of things have been happening across the street on the site of the old Lutheran school. Thanks to Bob & Annie Kroll for the beautiful sign and selecting two young oak trees that were planted by the committee on either side of the new cross swing-set installed by the Adam Dorale and family. More pea gravel will be placed under the swings and eventually we hope to install either a jungle gym or climbing "bubble" South of the swings and West of the basketball court. Our hope is that children of Charter Oak, not just Sunday School, Confirmation and VBS will all enjoy this revitalized playground for generations to come- right where St.John Lutheran school and Noah's Ark preschool children have learned and played for generations already!
