LWML Sunday 2015 Litany- Seek First the Kingdom of God
Pastor: Holy God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, As we gather to worship You this day, we are worried!
People: May our hearts be opened to trust You!
Pastor: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6).
Holy God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, As we gather to sing praises to You this day, we are distracted!
People: May our eyes be opened to be focused on You!
Pastor: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).
Holy God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, As we gather to hear Your Word today, we are clinging to so many things!
People: May our hands be opened to let go of the things of this world while clinging to You and Your Word!
Pastor: Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? (Matthew 6:26)
Holy God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, As we gather to receive Your forgiveness, our minds are racing!
People: May our mouths be opened to shout hallelujahs to You for Your mercy and grace!
Pastor: Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all (Matthew 6:31-32).
Holy God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, As we gather to receive Your body and blood today, our lives are cluttered!
People: May our hands be folded in prayers of thanksgiving to You for Your forgiveness!
Pastor: But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).
People: Lord have mercy,
Christ have mercy,
Lord have mercy!
Guide us, through the power of Your Holy Spirit, as we seek to put You and Your eternal Kingdom work first in our lives! Amen

The Giving Quilt Rack
(in loving memory of our past Quilters)
Beginning October 1st we are beginning a new quilting projects. This new journey features a quilt hung over the Quilt Rack in the back of the church by the elevator door. This quilt can be taken by any member of our church family to be given to someone they feel is in need. One does not have to tell where it goes. It is our prayer and hope that the quilts are given from out church family from this "Giving Quilt Rack" will touch the lives and hearts of each and every recipient.
If the Quilt Rack is empty do not dismay, that just means that one has been given to someone in need and another will soon be in it's place. Please join us in this new mission as we share with those around us and may those recipients feel the blessings of our love and prayers within each and every quilt.
